A suite of e-learning training courses was created for Anglian Water, who needed a solution for Field Engineers to replace the existing classroom training.
Aimed primarily at Technicians working in Filtration, Clarification or Waste Water, the courses supported access from Toughbooks (laptops used by field operatives), desktops and home PCs where learners are likely to be preparing to take relevant City and Guilds or equivalent qualifications.
Users were able to control the level of detail in the learning process by allowing access to a virtual “expert” able to provide background detail and additional information that while not crucial, helps give a grounding in areas a user is less familiar with.
All courses were housed in an on-line LMS and featured an assessment to measure knowledge and understanding. 20 questions are selected randomly from a pool of 40 and after the assessment the learners can review the parts of the course any difficulties were encountered in if they fail.
